Edibles
Self Sufficiency & Sustainability
Cape Town is blessed with a climate that allows us to grow a wide variety of edibles throughout the year.
Around 2013, we noticed a growing demand in the retail nursery sector for healthy organically grown vegetable & herb plants. Hart Nursery expanded its production line to fill that void complimenting its existing product lines and also providing quality plants to new wholesale clients.
This venture has blossomed into a brand that has become well known to Capetonians on the hunt for healthy, organically grown vegetable & herb seedlings. We achieved this in conjunction with our existing seasonal annual flower production like Petunias, Pansies, Primulas, Marigolds etc that we’ve always been known for since Hart Nursery first began decades ago.
We have worked hard over the years to bring our product to a nursery near you through partnerships with various select Garden Centres throughout the Western Cape. These are relationships and bonds we have formed over many years with like-minded retailers who share our vision in providing the consumer with healthier alternatives and we are grateful for their support.
